Café Max – Celebrating 30 years in business, Café Max was established in 1985. It’s a favorite of locals and visitors. Culver Coffee Company – Opened in 2003, this shop has evolved into a true “coffee break by the lake”. You can always find new, unique retail items, exceptional coffee and tea, affordable pizzas and sandwiches, even smoothies, ice cream, and more. Directly across from the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee, you can dine with a beautiful view of the waters, or even dine inside in front of a large salt water fish tank. Lakehouse Grille – The Lakehouse Grille is a restaurant & bar for friends and families to meet for any occasion. Original Root Beer Stand – This is a must stop if visiting in the warmer months. The nostalgic car hops will take your order while you sit in your car or you can walk up from the beach to the order window. The picnic tables on south side offer one of the best views of the lake in town. Grab a hot dog, cheeseburger, onion rings (some of the best), and an ice cream and of course a Root Beer! They do only take cash so plan ahead.

Papa’s – Established in 1976, Papas is a family owned and operated restaurant that strives to create the finest customer experience. They are famous for their pizza as their url suggests.
